Department of Radiology
One of the largest departments of radiology in Denmark
The Department of Radiology is a cross-disciplinary clinical department with no beds. The Department receives inpatients as well as outpatients. It is one of the largest departments of radiology in Denmark with a workforce equivalent to 227 full-time positions and collaborate with all medical specialities at Odense University Hospital. Department of Radiology is a highly specialised department and the overall strategic objective is to maintain and develop highly specialised services, and professionalism is the focal point.
The Department carries out basic examinations as well as highly specialised examinations and interventional treatment. Moreover, training, research and development are carried out at the Department.

Radiology covers eight specialist areas:
- Neuroradiology,
- Thoracic radiology
- Cardiovascular radiology
- Interventional radiology
- Paediatric radiology
- Abdominal radiology
- Uroradiology
- Musculoskeletal radiology
- Oncology radiology
- Mammary radiology
In addition to this, the cross-disciplinary modalities; ultrasound, MRI and CT.
