Smith K. Khare
Smith K. Khare is a researcher at CAI-X.
Smith Khare is an engineer and holds PhD in Electronics and Communication Discipline from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, India.
Before coming to Denmark, he worked as an assistant professor at various schools of engineering in India, and as a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Smith joined CAI-X in September 2023, after 2 years as a Postdoc Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Aarhus University. His primary research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms, biomedical signal processing and deep learning. In 2022, Smith was among the top 2% most-cited scientists within his subfield, according to Elsevier.
In CAI-X, Smith is involved in the PEACE project and will help develop new projects. Smith splits his days between the Maersk Institute at the University of Southern Denmark and the innovation department at Odense University Hospital, the two physical locations of the centre, emphasizing the interdisciplinary focus and way of working.
In addition to his employment in CAI-X, Smith is an assistant professor at SDU Applied AI and Data Science.
