AI for mammography in the Region of Southern Denmark
The Region of Southern Denmark has published a press release to underline the region’s increasing focus on AI and the potentials the technology holds for the healthcare sector.
The press release describes the ambitions for testing AI in mammography screening and thereby potentially replace one of the radiologist with an algorithm.
The project MAGIC has the exact same focus. The project presents the world’s first large-scale validation study and a prospective clinical trial which will assess the impact of a deep learning-based workflow in Danish clinical screening practice.
